  • Services related to networks, security, Skype for Business, storage, network and server maintenance, monitoring, service desk, and on-site support;
  • Support by IT specialists, project managers and interim managers;
  • Sale of servers, network equipment, smartphones, tablets, PCs and accessories.

What do we expect from you?

The Operations team within Proximus SpearIT Projects & Services is a team of 22 people.

It includes: 1st Line Support, 2nd line Support, 3rd Line support, Field services, the teamleaders, incident manager, service delivery manager and services lead. The team based in Diest is responsible for the provision of IT services and support to internal and external customers. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the other members of the support desk, both on premise and in the field

Job description:

  • To provide second line technical support, assisting them with PC, server, networking and hardware problems via phone, email or onsite visits
  • To take ownership of user problems, perform a technical diagnosis and fix the issue either remotely or on-site
  • To document all calls on the call logging system
  • Produce statistics each month on Helpdesk issues
  • To maintain user security on all systems
  • Supporting users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
  • To arrange for external support visit whenever problems cannot be resolved in house
  • Provide excellent customer service and high-quality technical support

Qualifications: 

Required technical skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory
  • Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)        
  • Knowledge of Backup Systems (Veeam, backup exec)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

These extra skills are a plus

  • Experience in an ITIL based IT service management environment
  • Experience in knowledge and configuration management
  • Knowledge of Skype for Business
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint

Profile

  • He/she must be able to prioritise a variable workload and know when to escalate a problem appropriately.
  • They must be well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in their approach to work.
  • You have a strong desire and focus on continuous improvement and personal development.
  • You have the ability to find your way in a growing organization.
  • You have good communication skills.
  • An excellent team player
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
