What do we expect from you?

  • Within the Enterprise Project Management department, the Project Manager, also called Transition Manager, is accountable for the successful & qualitative completion of multiple key strategic projects implementation (Transition) for Proximus customers.
    The Transition Manager is responsible for the financial result of the customer project by ensuring the project remains within the agreed scope and is realized within the agreed Proximus budget.
    The Transition Manager will work directly with the customers to ensure deliverables fall in the agreed timing. He or she will coordinate other departments and/or subcontractors/partners of Proximus.
    The projects to manage are most of the time not based on only one but on multiple ICT and/or Telco technologies (SDX, Security, Cloud, Connectivity, Advanced Workplace, etc) with a medium to high business complexity (eg. Migration of customer environment from technology “A” to “B” without operational customer impact).

Tasks:

  • At the project start, the Transition Manager ensure to get a clear understanding on the Proximus solutions to implement by requesting a hand-over from the sales team
  • Based on the hand-over, the Transition Manager will setup and manage the Transition implementation team, composed by “non-dedicated” resources and/or subcontractors/partners.
  • He or she create and get approval of the detailed project plans, taking into account the customer expectations and the resources’ availability
  • The Transition Manager guarantees the quality of the Transition deliverables (including the operational services readiness of Proximus) and make sure that the project planning is respected by closely follow-up on the implementation and taking pro-active actions to avoid deviations.
  • He or she anticipate potential risks to avoid implementation issue throughout the entire project phase by taking appropriate actions within the Proximus organization and/or towards the customer.
  • During the entire implementation phase, the Transition Manager act as main Proximus point of contact for the customer as well as for the subcontractors and/or partners.
  • He or she reports on the progress on regular basis by centralizing all relevant information and report in a to-the-point communication towards customer and his/her management. Reporting might be in project status meeting and/or steering committee with senior level management attendees.
  • He or she will be responsible for the financial follow-up of the projects: Profit and Lost (P&L), Revenue Planning and billing plan.
  • Before the project closure, the Transition Manager ensures, in collaboration with the operational team, the operational setup and servicing is ready to get the handover of all relevant project information and get customer acceptance on the implemented solution.


Job requirements:

  • Knowledge of Connectivity, Networking, Security, SDX, Cloud and forthcoming ICT/Telco solutions
  • Knowledge of project methodologies: Prince II, PMBOK, Agile, Scrum
  • 3 year experience with ERP systems
  • 5 years’ experience in customer facing project management.
  • Self-learning skills allowing to understand the Proximus organization.
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and analytical mindset.
  • Well structured.
  • Solution and results oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills: able to speak to different stakeholders (engineers, customers, management) and able to negotiate
  • Trilingual: Dutch/French/English
  • “VOL-VCA” is an asset
